Flying Food

Not to date myself, but people in my generation grew up on the Jetsons. And even though I often say that I'm waiting to get back into driving until I have access to a flying car, they already have that technology, I just don't have the budget for it. It isn't mainstream yet, but I may live long enough for it to get there.

In any case, I just saw an article that brought that cartoon to mind. According to the article, Chipotle is soon going to trial drone delivery in Dallas. I remember the first time I saw a drone near my house. I just stared up into the sky and I had a little bit of a Mad Max kind of feeling ... That and recent happenings are definitely signaling Thunderdome.
In the meantime, this may herald faster deliveries, but I do wonder how it will affect people who are supplementing their incomes with food deliveries through services like Uber Eats, Grub Hub, etc.
