My happy place

I have often said that my happy places are my bed, the gun range and anywhere near the ocean. For that reason, I have been craving the cool caress of an ocean breeze, sand under my feet and looking into that deep blue water that always seems to look back.

Therefore, I'm happy to report that I finally got a chance to visit California over my school break. It was such an amazing trip. I got a chance to meet a number of my TikTok friends, and I still smile when I think about it. I loved everything about it. The laughs. The sunsets. The smell of sea air which is unrivaled. And of course the delicious food which is always a big component of anything I do, especially traveling. Oh and It is actually funny (now) because there was a whole tsunami warning, and I experienced my first real earthquake. I did request adventure and boy did I get it!!!

I think trips are only as good as the people you make them with and although I have taken lots of great solo trips, this trip with my friend Crafty from TikTok reminded me how being with the right people can unlock the next level of happiness.

We didn't plan a thing and when we blinked it was over, but every day was full of treasured experiences that will hold me until the next time I can see where sand meets sea ⛵.
